Our days are punctuated by scouting new talent, attending market appointments, and scrolling Instagram in an effort to unearth the products, people, and news you actually need to know. Here’s what we Slacked one another about this week.

The Main Event: Cold Picnic’s New Bath Mat Collection

Bathrooms in New York City rentals can be…scary. In the past, I’ve strategically used bold and bright shower curtains to distract guests (and, let’s be honest, myself) from stained grout lines and leaky faucets. Next month, I’ll be moving back into a prewar building with a not-so-stellar washroom situation. Needless to say, I’ve already shopped Cold Picnic’s latest collection. The four new bath mats are full of the punchy color combos and abstract forms we know and love the brand for. All of them are hand-dyed in India and made from 100% organic cotton (a naturally absorbent fiber) and feature a nonslip backing, meaning I won’t find it roaming across my tiled floor. —Morgan Bulman, associate shopping editor
