Italian marina operator Marinedi Group plans a major expansion over the next few years.
The company has 6,000 berths in 14 locations across Italy and aims to increase this to 25 marinas in the Mediterranean by 2026. In the short-term it aims to buy two marinas, one in North Africa and one in the Aeolian Islands.
The announcement comes after the group reported 2022 revenues were up 25% compared to 2021, with a turnover of €16m. Demand for moorings grew by more than 30% from 2021, which had already seen a 22% increase compared to 2020.
Increased costs due to inflation and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict had a limited impact on performance, it said.
